People and businesses whose property was damaged or destroyed by the 27 April tornadoes can receive money or direct assistance from FEMA for losses not covered by insurance. To learn if disaster help is available if you have insurance, go to: http://www.fema.gov/assistance/process/dhelp_insurance.
Contact your insurance provider PRIOR to filing with FEMA. In Madison County, the location for FEMA is the Monrovia Church of Christ on Nance Road; the hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can also call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362. The deadline for filing with FEMA is 27 June 2011.
